Which group this guide covers

evoke plc is the group behind William Hill, the 888 brands and Mr Green. The company writes its own name in lower case, and so do we. This guide lists the brands evoke itself confirms, the licensed companies that the Gambling Commission's register names for its two best-known British websites, and the change of ownership that is now under way.

If you only need the headline: evoke confirms six brands, its two main British websites are run by two different licensed companies, and the whole group has agreed to be acquired by Bally's Intralot.

The brands evoke confirms

evoke's brand page lists the following. The descriptions summarise the group's own wording.

The footer of evoke's website gives an address at Europort in Gibraltar. That is the only head office reference on the page.

Who holds the licences in Great Britain

The register does not have a single evoke entry. Instead, the two main British websites appear under two separate licensed companies.

WHG (International) Limited, account 39225, is the licensee for williamhill.com, which is listed as active, with the trading name william hill online. Its head office is at Europort in Gibraltar. Its remote activities cover bingo, casino, real-event and virtual-event betting and pool betting, all active since 1 November 2014, plus a gambling software activity active since 25 March 2015.

888 UK Limited, account 39028, has its head office at 601-701 Europort, Gibraltar. Its active domains include 888casino.com, 888sport.com, 888poker.com, 888.com and 777.com. Its remote bingo, casino and real-event betting activities have been active since 1 November 2014, and virtual-event betting since 16 April 2020.

Neither register page names evoke as a parent. The connection comes from evoke's own brand list. The Europort address shared by both licensees and by evoke's website fits that picture, but a shared address would not prove ownership on its own, so we treat it only as supporting detail.

What the register does not confirm

The 888 UK Limited record also lists 74 inactive domains, many of them bingo websites, foxybingo.com among them. Inactive entries are history kept on the register, not a statement about who owns a brand today. Nothing in that list shows that evoke currently owns those bingo names, so we do not count them as evoke brands.

We also have not checked a British licence record for Mr Green or Winner. evoke describes Mr Green's strength as the Nordic region and Winner as Romanian-licensed, and we make no claim about where either is available.

The ownership change in progress

On 5 June 2026, evoke and Bally's Intralot announced a recommended all-share acquisition of evoke, to be carried out as a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under Gibraltar company law. evoke shareholders approved the scheme at meetings held on 17 August 2026. In a report dated 23 October 2026, the deal was described as remaining on track, with completion expected in late 2026 or early 2027.

Until completion, evoke remains the owner of these brands. If the deal completes, evoke would become part of Bally's Intralot, the group that already lists Jackpotjoy and Virgin Games among its brands. Our update on the agreed takeover sets out the terms and dates.

In short

evoke confirms six brands: William Hill, 888casino, 888sport, 888poker, Mr Green and Winner. In Great Britain, William Hill's website runs under WHG (International) Limited and the 888 websites under 888 UK Limited. The group has agreed to be acquired by Bally's Intralot, but until that deal completes, ownership has not changed.
