What was reorganised

On 9 October 2025, Intralot S.A. completed its acquisition of Bally's International Interactive business, the online gaming operation that was formerly Gamesys Group. The deal combined that business with Intralot's lottery and gaming operations and left Bally's Corporation as Intralot's majority shareholder. The combined group now presents itself as Bally's Intralot S.A. This brief records what the completion announcement confirmed. The event dates from October 2025; we cover it because it explains who sits behind several well-known British bingo and casino brands today.

What moved, and what stayed the same

The business that moved kept its leadership, technology stack and digital capabilities, according to the announcement. What changed was the company above it: having been sold by Bally's Corporation, it became part of Intralot, in which Bally's now holds a majority stake.

The announcement itself did not list consumer brands. That detail comes from a later document: in June 2026, Bally's Intralot described itself as formed in October 2025 through this combination and listed its brands as including Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino, Double Bubble Bingo, Bally's Bet, Rainbow Riches Casino and Botemania.

At licence level, the reorganisation did not replace the familiar company name. The Gambling Commission's register still names Gamesys Operations Limited as the licensee for jackpotjoy.com, with remote bingo and casino activities active since 1 November 2014. That continuity is a useful reminder that a group-level deal does not necessarily change the licensed company a customer sees in a website footer.

The date and the original announcement

The confirmed event date is 9 October 2025, the day completion was announced by Bally's Corporation and Intralot in a press release filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. That filing is the primary source for the figures above. We do not have a source for any separate renaming date, so we describe the group by the name it uses in its 2026 documents.

Our Jackpotjoy profile traces the chain from Bally's Corporation to the licensee in detail. The same group has since agreed to acquire evoke, the owner of William Hill and 888; see our update on that agreed takeover. For a general guide to reading layers like these, see how to read a casino operator group structure.

Why it still matters

This reorganisation is the reason a single name, Bally's Intralot, now links Jackpotjoy and its neighbours to an Athens-listed group, and it is the base from which the evoke deal was launched. The figures and dates above will not change, but the group's shape may change again if that deal completes. Later changes will appear in Ownership Updates with their own dates.
